1:12th scale baskets

Made using linen thread.

I hope to one day have a real job, and meet a nice man and maybe have children, I would have liked that back when I started my blog, I especially would have liked a job.

Halloween doodles

Awhile back I was trying to come up with something to draw for Halloween, so I got a book and a pen, and drew the outline with my eyes closed, and then coloured in, with my eyes open. So the top line was done with my eyes closed whilst trying to think of what I was drawing, without looking, although I did peek a few times. The bottom line a simpler, swirling line.

1:12th scale Gingerbread house

I made this using fimo, I particularly enjoyed applying the fairy lights along the edge of the roof, using no hole beads.

1:12th scale haunted house

Completely made from scratch, each tile individually glued on. I'm not a big fan of this, but I'm sharing it because sometimes when I look at other peoples work it gives me ideas.

1:12th scale "glass" rabbits

Made with UV resin.

I painted some, I thought the gold one looked like a lindt rabbit.

1:12th scale fox head

 Copied from antique.

The watering can in the background, I used to collect the plastic from ear bud cleaners to make the spouts on those watering cans, that whole "eco" buds thing put an end to one of my materials. Not complaining, just remembered collecting them all for making watering cans to sell.

Copied from antiques.

1:12th scale Easter ornament

Copied from an antique.

1:12th scale gargoyle

1:12th scale Halloween bonsai tree

After putting the bunting up, I thought it looked like  line of ghost socks hanging up.

1:12th scale ghost candy containers

Made with UV resin, filled with no hole beads.

I'm putting my miniatures from Instagram on to my blog, as I want to add my blog address to my CV at some point, hence multiple posts on one day.

1:12th scale broken poison bottle

This was a failed bottle, it didn't cast properly so I turned it in to a broken bottle.

Made using UV resin.

1:12th scale mummified cats

One thing I wanted to do with these that I never got around to was put a little "brass" rectangle on the wooden base. I really enjoyed making these, one of the many, many, many items I had planned for my shop.

1:12th scale masters

These are all of the masters I made.

Labyrinth is playing in the background, it's sort of funny, because he just said "nobody can blame you for walking away" as I uploaded these pictures.

1:12th scale Halloween bats

Bats made using Japanese grace clay pressed in to moulds.

Pom poms made by wrapping thread between two needles held about 6mm apart, then tied in the middle then taken off the needles and each "loop" cut then shaped, and it was a bit mad making tiny pom poms.

1:12th scale Indian Elephant corbel

At some point I had this thought in my head to make some antique Indian corbels, but I couldn't find one I liked to copy so I just made one up. My plan for these, was to have two on either side of a window possibly with a hole drilled through the sides of them to put a curtain pole through, with a shelf above. They are made with plaster, the tusks are tips of wooden cocktail sticks sanded down in to tiny tusks and painted white. I started to get funny about quality control, and I couldn't handle the tiniest casting flaw bubble, and it's not because I'm a perfectionist. If you zoom in on the elephant you will see a casting flaw on the eye. I would have almost considered this a second, and to be honest I was trying to avoid criticism, I personally am happy with it, but at the time I would have had difficulty sending this to a customer.
