Oh my God! I'm doing the same thing at this time with an old Fairbanks! I'm removing all the paint and the plexiglass all-streaked windows. Who knows when I'll finish!
But it has to be done :D I used a small roller for painting the ceilings, walls and exterior. This leaves plenty of time to paint the skirting and coving...............which takes forever and ever. I remember those days well :D
Hello Sarah! I decided to see just exactly the space in the doll's house that you are undertaking and it seems to have quite a bit of workable room. It is great too, that the staircase actually includes all 3 floors as most stop at the 2nd! I have seen what you have already accomplished with these rooms, in later posts, now I am able connect the dots! Boy!..... Your Work is So Good!
I just got one, it is in a sorry state but it is so beautiful, I have started the works and I have decided to close the facade so that the interior has windows and light enters, I think it will be very original. I will decorate it modern inside respecting the old. Sounds like a good idea?
Absolutely. Sorry only seeing this now. One thing I would have liked to do at the beginning maybe was have the staircase at the side somehow, to make the rooms bigger, but I'm happy enough with it as is. You'll learn plenty as you go along if it's your first dollshouse. All the best x
